About us
The Sydney University Veterinary Society (VetSoc) is one of the oldest student operated societies on campus; representing peers of the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience, Bachelor of Veterinary Science and now the combined Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine as well.
In 2010, VetSoc was awarded Best Society by the Sydney University Clubs and Societies Board, and in 2011 and 2014 the society claimed Best Executive. They've managed to keep the proud tradition of the faculty since VetSoc's establishment in 1912.
The society has long been critical in the cooperation and interaction between all members of the faculty (students, faculty staff and even hospital staff). We pride ourselves on the ability to foster strong relationships between our members as a crucial part of the over arching university experience.
Run by a group of committed young students from any of the degrees, with the direct aim of enriching the lives of those involved in the faculty, organising social events and providing a medium for interaction between staff, faculty members and students.
With such a proud tradition and an extremely strong, creative and overall amazing effort by recent committees, it is our goal to carry on the culture that the Vet Faculty has long offered, spread the enthusiasm and involvement for which we are well known and, most importantly, to bring to our members the best possible experience we can offer.
We'd love for any input or suggestions and the one thing we want you to remember is that we are YOUR society.
